The 44th Annual Pride Parade is back on and we want you to be a part of it!

This year, Out for Kicks will have a float in the parade and we are calling for members to come participate to help have the best float yet.

What does this look like? This year will include:
- An OFK Pride Float – Theme is Lucid Dreams
- Cute outfits and accessories (stay tuned)
- Official Choreographed Dance to Lucid by Rina Sawayama prepared by the wonderful Tyler Barr!
- Snacks and refreshments to keep you fed and hydrated throughout the sunny day.
Note: You can also come the day-of the parade and walk with the float (e.g. carry the banner, dribble a soccer ball, etc.). In the past, we’ve heard that helping set-up and learning the dance has always been a fun way to spend the day.

Date: Sunday, July 31st
Meeting Location of Float: Robson Street and between Thurlow/Burrard Street Block

Timeline:
10:45am – Arrival (Truck decorating)
11am – Learn choreography with Tyler
11:45am – Arrival deadline for marchers
12pm to 3pm – Parade March begins!

For those registered, the weekend will play out like this:

Friday, July 15th – Soccer practice, team building and social. Join us @ Andy Livingstone Field East, 89 Expo Boulevard @ 6 pm to meet your teammates and play some footie. We will wrap up with some drinks and socializing.

Saturday, July 16th – 11-a-side friendly tournament @ Trillium fields, 600 National Ave. Registration (for those who could not attend Friday) and warm-up is at 10:30am. Games will start at 11:00 am and run until approximately 4:00pm. You will pick up jerseys from your captains for the day at the field. Arrive early to get the jersey that best accentuates your current runway. Bring water! Gatorade and snacks provided.

After Party at Pumpjack Pub, Davie Street. Show your tournament wristband for no-cover and to skip the line (before 10:30pm). Come dance out those sore muscles. Disclaimer: OFK is not responsible for what your muscles get up to at this stage in the weekend.

Sunday, July 17th – Shake off the cobwebs and join us at Fable Diner, 755 Richards St. @ 11 am for the farewell brunch.

Has it been 4 days and you haven’t left your home? Have you forgotten how to interact with people without a screen in front of you? We cannot think of a better time to dust off those cleats and get back onto the real soccer field than right now!

We are so proud to finally be able to bring back to you our outdoor soccer league focusing on safe, inclusive and recreational play. OFK welcomes players of all skill levels to participate and revel in our fun and social soccer league.

For those of you who are new to the league:
- Our league consists of 10 teams
- games are weekly on Wednesdays
- games are 1 hour in length and played on a full field
- start times are 6pm, 7:10pm, 8:20 pm, and 9:30pm
- all games are played at Andy Livingston Turf

We also offer practices every Friday evening during the regular season, if you are looking to develop your soccer skills as the season progresses. This is also a great way to meet and socialize with players from other teams!

Players who either participated in one of our indoor seasons this year or were registered for the cancelled 2020 season qualify as a returning player and can register online Wednesday, March 2nd at noon. Make sure you do so ASAP to claim your spot.

If you are new to the league, new player registration will occur on Wednesday, March 9th. If the league is fully booked by the time you register, you will be placed on a waitlist and offered a spot if one becomes available.
